Story

I used to blend in everywhere I went—until I realized how much power there was in looking the part.

A few years ago, I did not care how I dressed. I would go out like I just woke up.

As a consequence of my low effort, my interactions were quite stale.

That changed when I took up a summer law internship. Wanting to fit the role, I upgraded my wardrobe.

The style? Timeless and refined. My wardrobe consisted of quality sweaters and various types of trousers.

I began dressing like this daily, slightly elevating if the occasion calls with a statement piece or a coat.

Ever since I started doing this, my quality of life has improved.

Strangers treated me with more respect and courtesy.

Opportunities seemed to present themselves more often.

Conversations flowed easier —people were eager to talk to me.

I do not mean this from an egotistical standpoint, however, I have gotten more compliments in the past few months than the rest of my life combined, due to the way I presented myself.

Dressing well wasn’t just about appearance—it became a self-fulfilling prophecy. The better I looked, the better I felt, the more capable I became.
