Story

With every great hero, came a worthy opponent.

Look at fighters, everything changes when a major match is announced.

They dive into a period of intensity -- strict diet, brutal workouts, mental conditioning.

They live and breathe for their upcoming fight, knowing that their rival was doing the same.

By the time they step foot into the cage, they have grown to be a completely different person than who they were from the start.

Lesson

⥤ Competition is necessary for growth.

Its no shock that we grow best through challenges, through having a rival.

When you create a rival—an “enemy” to compete against—you force yourself to rise to the challenge.

So why not create one, pushing us to grow?

Two days ago, I created one, a version of myself that I would respect and desire.

Providing me a benchmark and clarity that I so desperately needed.

I revamped my diet, replaced distractions, and created structure for my life.

I may not have the qualities yet, but I'm on a journey to get there.

Life has gotten better since.

Challenge

➢ Make your opponent real.

Write down at least 20 qualities of that person.

(ex. runs 5 miles every day, hits the gym everyday, learns a new skill a week)

this is your competition for the next few months.

beat and rise above that person.

Remember, its who you become on the journey.
