Welcome to A Visionary's Outlook, a place where I share lessons, from traversing this journey of "life".
Perspective
" Reflection is a benchmark " - Tony Chen, a good friend.
Story
For a few days, my mind was cluttered so I just floated around with no direction.
I would go to school, skipped the gym, and binge watch frivolous youtube videos.
Having enough of this shit, I blocked out some time to reflect on a Wednesday.
I spent an hour reflecting on how my weeks went, what I had accomplished, what I could improve upon.
I was amazed at the clarity this provided me.
My mind was slowly morphing from a battlefield to a garden.
This allowed me to set a monthly vision, and establish structure for the upcoming weeks, getting my life back on track.
Lesson
Socrates put it best, an unexamined life isn't worth living.
A life without growth, full of comfort drives people to do insane things. (i.e. The Great Gatsby)
You don't truly live, you just exist.
Theres a reason why we become bored on vacation after some time, we just want to get back to work, to get back on our purpose.
To truly live means to take on risks, experiences, and to grow into a better individual.
Challenge
➢ For the next week, dedicate a few minutes before you sleep to reflect on your day. Praise yourself for what went good, acknowledge where improvement could be made, and seek to actualize it immediately.
Remember, its who you become on the journey.
Others.
